The aim of this newsletter is to keep you informed of new developments in the field of infrared therapy and related issues of health and wellbeing. As we know how busy everyone is we will aim to keep the newsletter compact and informative. We will aim to send you updates from time to time with news and information about how infrared therapy can make a difference to your health and feeling of wellness.
Saunas are a great source of warmth, but the best results come from the steady flow of infrared heat that only comes from a Physiotherm infrared therapy sauna.
You can read about the unique Physiotherm steadiflow™ elements in this issue, along with some other interesting information about how regular sessions can help you to maintain good health.
We're also keen to hear from you if you would like any specific information about infrared therapy and health in upcoming newsletters. We have a wealth of information to share, so please just ask. Next time we will be looking at feedback from users with success of reducing pesticides and mercury levels from their body by using a Physiotherm cabin. And we’ll introduce some new cabin options.
More than 2,500 people now own Physiotherm infrared therapy cabins from MagMed across the UK, Australia and New Zealand. We're keen to share with others your stories and hints on how you get the most out of your cabin, so please be in touch.
Wishing you the best of health,

Spotlight on Physiotherm Steadiflow™ Elements
|
We know people love their Physiotherm infrared cabins for many reasons. They help to reduce the stress of a busy day and ease aches and pains and they are so good for relieving the symptoms of many other ailments. The reason why a Physiotherm session is so relaxing and so beneficial is mainly due to the steady flow of infrared heat that comes from the unique Lavatech™ elements found in Physiotherm cabins.
If you don’t have your own, then see our list with trial locations or call us on 0845 2255 008 and we can let you know where you can trial one.
Physiotherm Steadiflow™ elements give you infinite control, like a dimmer on a light, so you have uninterrupted flow of infrared energy even when the intensity is turned down. Other brands of cabins use thermostatic control (on-again off-again) to regulate the heat source. All that switching on and switching off means you are actually experiencing less infrared therapy – up to half as much time as you experience with your Physiotherm. That’s important because the reason why people buy infrared cabins is to get optimum therapy time – especially when they have busy lives.
Physiotherm saunas operate at a much more comfortable temperature for most people because they can get you sweating at temperatures as low as 30-40 degrees C compared to the higher air temperatures of 50-60 degrees C normal for other brand saunas. And that’s only possible due to the Steadiflow elements.
If you’d like to know more about how the continuous flow of infrared heat can help you or if you have any questions, email us or call us on 0845 2255 008.

How You Can Get The Best From Your Physiotherm Infrared Therapy Sauna
|
Whether you own your own infrared cabin, or you use it at a clinic or gym, we are often asked: ‘how often should I use my infrared cabin, and how long do I need to be in it?’ Those are good questions, and there are probably as many answers as there are people asking! But really, it’s simple. It feels so good you’ll use it as frequently as you can, and because the air inside the cabin is dry and the temperature is at a comfortable level, you’ll know intuitively what works best for you.
However, if you are interested in more of the scientific theory behind using a Physiotherm infrared therapy sauna, Dr Ralf Kleef from the Institute for Thermal and Immune Therapy in Vienna, has developed infrared treatments for many conditions.
You can click here to read about the Physiotherm Medical Study. Meantime, here's a chart to give you a guide on how to get the best from your infrared cabin.

The Trend For 'Wellness Rooms'
|
Wellness rooms are becoming increasingly important to health conscious people all over the world. This is a room in your home, usually your bedroom, and it's where you create a sanctuary of peace and well-being through the use of infrared therapy.
In your wellness room, you would have a far infrared sleep system (endorsed by the World Health Organisation) which will give you the best sleep every night. You would also have an air purifier which includes an aromatherapy module, to improve the quality of the air you breathe while you sleep, and you would have a water system that purifies the water you drink as well as the water you shower in to dramatically reduce your exposure to chlorine and other chemicals absorbed through the skin.
We’ve been working with a number of hotels to create wellness rooms as an option for guests. These rooms are also popular with private owners of infrared therapy cabins who look to increase their health benefits more widely.
In our next issue we’ll focus on the sleep system because we all know there’s nothing like a good night’s sleep to recharge the brain, improve memory and aid learning, as well as improve your immune system.
Meantime, if you want to find out more about water filters, shower filters, far infrared sleep systems or air filters email us and we’ll be happy to send you more information about any of our wellness room products.

We have recently received some wonderful feedback from a client who has their Physiotherm cabin installed in his garden shed in the Algarve of Portugal excerpts from his letter are repeated here:
Winters in Portugal are not kind to arthritis sufferers, especially those like me who live in an old, uninsulated farmhouse. I thought an infrared sauna might relieve things, and my investigations suggested that MagMed’s sauna might be the pick of the crop.
So, I bought a two-seater deluxe in January and had it installed in my garden shed. Regular use – 3-4 times a week – has definitely eased my arthritis. And there have also been two great fringe benefits: first, my psoriasis is much less in evidence; second, I feel so much better generally.
MagMed’s infrared sauna looks great – first class design and workmanship, it radiates “class”. And, it doesn’t take up much space. The temperature inside is usually about 20 centigrade at it’s coldest, so I just turn it on, undress, get in straightaway, and within a few minutes I’m already getting toasty. After 30 minutes I’m sweating freely; indeed by then I’m ready to open the door to let some cool air in. No planning is required – if I want to have a session I needn’t do anything but go to the shed, turn the sauna on, undress, get in and then come out after 30-45 minutes. While I’m inside I read, which is something you can’t do in a conventional sauna.
I also use the sauna to warm up before an exercise session. I just sit inside, fully clothed, for about 10 minutes, exiting just before I’m going to break into a sweat. This makes stretching a lot easier.
My MagMed sauna, has, in short, been a wholly positive experience, helping on many fronts. I’m really pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone. I should add that the people at Magmed have been a pleasure to deal with.
