Welcome to the MagMed September Newsletter!
Typical for the UK you reach August and you already feel that winter is upon us, where’s the sunshine gone, where’s our summer? As a result of the poor weather we have found ourselves using our Physiotherm almost daily, much as we would in the depths of winter, as it really does help to keep the spirits up, that is along with watching the fantastic result for Team GB in the Beijing Olympics which has been so exciting!
Those of you who have been inspired by the Games to still head outdoors to enjoy some sporting activity or maybe even just tending the garden we hope you are looking after those muscles and joints along with your general well being with some healing infrared treatment. Not only can regular infrared sessions help keep your body more fit it can also improve your recovery from exercise and injury. We will focus more upon this in next months newsletter.
In this month newsletter we’d like to inform you about the exceptional hygiene and durability of Physiotherm's cabins – with that we refer to as the Durilam™ system. Further to which we are excited to introduce to you our new range of budget infrared saunas and we will look at some of the results of our clients in the area of detoxification.

“You’ll never guess the age of my Physiotherm…”

If you have ever used a Physiotherm infrared sauna you’ll find it pretty hard to tell how old it is. That’s because of two unique qualities of the Physiotherm - its bio-lacquer protection and Durilam™ – which give it superior durability and hygiene protection.
As opposed to most other produced saunas, you’ll never see sweat marks or stains on your Austrian made Physiotherm sauna. Without a sealed surface (such as the Physiotherm’s Bio-lacquer protection) sweat and toxins are absorbed directly into the wooden surfaces. This absorption causes stains and horrid smells to accumulate in the cabin over time.
 It is incredible how many saunas do not have sealed protection, as you can see in the picture of a common low quality infrared sauna. The Bio-lacquer applied in the MagMed Physiotherm production process, however, ensures simple cleaning and long product life even with high use commercial Physiotherm saunas. The composition of the lacquer is all natural and water based rather than a toxin laden petrochemical solution, this ensures a toxin free and hygienic retreat for many years to come.
 The second unique quality which determines the long life and appearance of your Physiotherm is the Durilam™ panel construction. It consists of triple layer Spruce panels with the grain going in opposing directions and laminated with water based non-toxic glues. This guarantees the panels will not twist or crack and makes the cabin virtually maintenance free. You can see the construction in the picture of the footrest (see picture). This means there is no wasted dead space in the void of the walls which can reduce the internal dimensions and therefore your comfort considerably. Always question why other brands require insulation and double layers of timber, it most likely shows a lack of quality infrared heaters and an over reliance upon hot air to make you sweat.

Pure Elements: New Budget Range of Infrared Saunas

MagMed are introducing a totally new budget range of infrared saunas. We partnered up with Pure Elements, an innovative American company who have located their factory to Shenzhen next to Hong Kong in Southern China.
I (James) visited the team at Pure Elements a couple of months ago to get a good idea of what they were up to and what stood them apart from the mass of low quality budget cabins available on the market. Needless to say I was very impressed and MagMed can now proudly state that they can offer a budget priced Infrared sauna which is a good substitute for a top quality Physiotherm cabin for those on a lower budget.
Pure Elements like Physiotherm are passionate about Infrared therapy. They have developed the world’s first patented ceramic panel heater – Pure Ray™ which is far superior to standard ceramic heaters and the toxin laden fibreglass carbon panels of other cheap IR saunas. These units are within the price bracket below the Physiotherm range but still offer excellent attention to detail and quality. There are still differences between the Physiotherm and Pure Elements which we are happy to go through with anyone interested to know the difference.

Safe Detoxification with Infrared Therapy
|
Detoxification is a natural and vitally important body process to help keep us healthy. Many people choose to invest in an infrared sauna to maximise the removal of stored toxins from the body with regular sessions that produce a deeply detoxifying sweat.
One of our clients who documented his detoxification process for a book on the chemical industry within agriculture was James Fergusson. As part of his research for “The Vitamin Murders, who killed healthy eating in Britain” (Portobello books) Fergusson had his body tested for levels of pesticides and was shocked to find over three times the recommended maximum level of Lindane and DDT within his body. These highly carcinogenic chemicals have been banned in Europe for decades however he was still riddled with them despite living an urban life in London. He undertook a number of Physiotherm sessions and then got tested again to find the levels reduced by three times!
We have been contacted by other Physiotherm users relating their successful detoxification programs with the help of their Physiotherm cabins.
