Cylinder Ceramic Heaters vs Flat Panel Heaters
|
What you should know...
Last month we explained the importance of infrared heat frequencies and that, for the most beneficial experience, you should use an infrared sauna with steady flow infrared heat – this being a Physiotherm.
The type of heater in your sauna is also important. Many saunas have flat panels (or carbon heaters made from fibreglass) which don’t disperse heat to give the user maximum infrared benefits.
Take a look at the thermal photo above of a Physiotherm cabin. You will see just how evenly the heat is distributed. That is because the Physiotherm heaters are ceramic, and cylinder in shape. Every ounce of heat coming off the panel is directed at the body.
The infrared waves coming off the back of the heater are directly projected into the cabin via polished stainless steel concave reflectors – ensuring no energy is wasted and you have the best infrared experience (see picture left).
To get the most out of your sauna sessions, you need to be using a cabin with lava filled ceramic cylinder heaters, such as the Physiotherms. That ensures you get evenly balanced and uninterrupted infrared heat penetration directly on the whole spinal area.

How can Physiotherm Infrared heat therapy give me beautiful clear skin?
|
Physiotherm saunas (manufactured in Austria) are believed to be more effective than steam saunas at releasing toxins through the skin due to the far-infrared thermal system. Only 80-85% of the sweat released is water. The remaining 15-20% of toxins mainly consists cholesterol, fat-soluble toxins, toxic heavy metals, sulphuric acid, sodium, ammonia and uric acid.
“One of the best passive exercises is the radiant heat of an infrared sauna which causes a profound deep sweat. After about 30 minutes of exposure, the blood vessels of the skin dilate to allow more blood to flow to the surface to support the cooling process. The millions of sweat glands covering the body are infused with fluid from the blood. In turn, they empty to the skin's surface, thereby flushing large amounts of toxins, including toxic acids and heavy metals, from the body.”
Dr. Klinghardt
Physiotherm’s Infrared heat dilates the body’s capillary network. Together with infrared heat’s super cleansing effect, you will see a noticeable improvement in your skin’s texture, complexion and tone.

November’s Sauna Tip: Heal Aches, Pains, & Injuries in an Infrared Physiotherm.
|
The body has its own self-healing mechanism by way of increasing its core body temperature. Think inflammation around mechanical injuries and fevers when infections and viruses attack. Physiotherms aid the body’s natural healing process through the deep warmth of infrared heat therapy which increases blood circulation and core temperature – your own self-healing process.
“I adore using a Physiotherm Infrared Sauna and have found it very helpful for my injured leg. Not only do I love it, my family also have enjoyed many hours of healing and the wonderful ambience of the coloured lighting and aromatherapy as well. It has definitely enhanced my life.”
Leslie Kenton, Best-selling Author.
